Friday, April 25, marked a special day for the American Cultures Center, as this was the very day that the American Cultures Breadth Requirement was passed by the Academic Senate. In honor of this occasion, UC Berkeley alumnus and current Peter L. Agnew Professor of Education at NYU, Pedro Noguera gave our keynote speech entitled "Lessons in Social Justice in Higher Education." The speech was followed by a Q&A Session with the current American Cultures Academic Senate Chair, Professor Lisa Garcia Bedolla, Graduate School of Education at UC Berkeley as well as from the audience.
