Under the outstanding leadership of Regina Jackson, the East Oakland Youth Development Center (EOYDC) is a thriving community center that develops the social and leadership capacities of youth and young adults (ages 6 - 24) so that they are prepared for employment, higher education, and leadership opportunities. Their partnership with ACES has allowed Berkeley students the opportunity to put theory to practice through ACES courses in both Ethnic Studies and Sociology. ACES students have been involved with the Center through many activities ranging from GED tutoring to administrative support.
