Launched in 2019, The American Cultures Engaged Scholarship (ACES) Graduate Learning Community is a partnership between the American Cultures Center and the Public Service Center, funded in part by the Graduate Division. Students in the Graduate Learning Community have the opportunity to build community together while exploring the importance of and connection between their academic studies, teaching, and research and their community relationships and social justice efforts.

Graduate students participate in a workshop series to discuss readings and hear from guest speakers on topics related to navigating community-based work, community-engaged scholarship, and the university.  At the final session, participants will share a reflection response on what they learned and their perceived next steps. To support their community-based projects, participants will receive $1000 upon completion.
