Cal Day 2018: From Incarceration to Education: Meet the Students Behind the FITE Film

On April 17, 2018, as part of the campus's Cal Day programming(link is external), the Underground Scholars Initiative(link is external) and the American Cultures Center held a screening of 'From Incarceration to (link is external)Education(link is external)' (FITE ), a short documentary about formerly incarcerated students at UC Berkeley and their paths to higher education and success. The event was opened by keynote speaker Jonathan Simon. The film screening was proceeded by a panel with the students in the film and reception.
